Weekly Wrap Up #3

I'm signing up with the Caffeinated Reviewer for Sunday Post and Reader Buzz for Sunday Salon.

First and foremost don't miss the Halloween Giveaway that I'm hosting!!!! You can still enter until the 30th. It's got a prize pack with 3 books, a totebag of your choice and a scented candle.

It wasn't a bad week, I was able to stay on top of the work projects and even took on planning our National Book Month event in March. This is kinda my baby as I was the one who came up with the idea. It didn't go over as well as I would have like due to the short timing and things. But I'm hoping it'll do better this coming year, with proper planning.
Friday was a bit of a mess though. The school went remote due to lack of staff, which meant the kids were home. A GFI blew, as my Hubby was taking me to work so we had to turn around, and we still aren't sure why. Yet other than that is was a decent uneventful week. We did get to go and walk around the cemeteries on Saturday. It was such a nice cool perfect fall day. A lot of other people where out walking around. DK and I ran into this old guy who cleans the headstones of fallen soldiers. We talked to him for like 10 mins about the different ones buried in the cemetery and the various wars. I love history so it was interesting and he was super sweet.

I got quite a few books done for Fraterfest RAT I actually got through all the TBR list, except one, Deadlocked Doll House is the last one on the list. I'm hoping to have it done by Monday.
After all the ghost stories I needed a bit of a palate cleanser so I got Shifting Silence which is a paranormal romance suspense. I've read a few of Laura Bickle's westerns and thing she's a really good author, thus far I have been enjoying this one. Then I got Shepherd's Warning from Book Sirens which is so-so, so far.

  1. Great photos! I don't read much horror or ghosts but I do enjoy mysteries and that fits too. I'm not doing much as far as Halloween events but I do have some Thankful events in November planned and some holiday and New Year's events.

  4. Thanks for sharing those lovely photos. The man that cleans the headstones sounds so sweet.
Sorry you've had to deal with remote schooling. I wonder whether we'll go back to that here in the UK soon. The stats aren't looking great. Enjoy your spooky reads.

    1. You're welcome! He was. I hope it was a one off, other than maybe instead of snow days. But I don't think so with all the staffing issues. Thanks! Have a great week!
